Service This Sunday

Our wonderful life group organized church service at our home this morning. Knowing that Brad would not be able to attend service at Southeast, they very kindly made arrangements to hold service and lunch for us in our home. We were so grateful to be a part of service with our closest friends and family. The time was filled with scripture reading, lots of singing (which we love!), and we even finished the time together with a group meditation. It is such a powerful experience to be a part of a large group, sending up prayer on Brad's behalf, all in one moment...visualizing God's healing being performed on Brad's body. In a situation that often feels so out of control, meditation and prayer give us a very powderful avenue to speak directly & expectantly to God. While we don't have control over what is happening with Brad's disease, we do have control about how we respond to it. Our minds are so powerful...an amazing sense of peace and hope always fill me following our meditations together.

Thank you to all those who helped to organize this special service for our family. We are so blessed to have your unwavering, continual support.

On another note, Brad has had his best day since Sunday a week ago. He has had better energy, easier breathing, with less coughing episodes. I couldn't be more pleased with his progress...it is so encouraging. Thank you for the prayers....we are continuing to pray for more of the same type of progress.

Praying and visualizing, too, that the cancer is being taken away. Praising God for His healing hand.

Much love to you...

Brad and Jenny... Jeff and I have been keeping up with you guys and all that's going on through your blog. We are praying and will continue to do so. Brad, you are amazing, strong, brave and a fighter. Jenny, you are just as amazing and strong!! We loved you two when we were at Southeast, but now I'm inspired and in awe of who you are in Christ. We love you and are fighting for you in prayer!
Much love, Kari Harris

"Holy God, You are the great physician who created Brad in his mother's womb. You know every detail of his body and I boldly ask that you completely heal him of this disease and allow him to serve you longer on this earth. I ask that you bind up the cancer in his body and that your Spirit would hover over him and renew his strength. Abba, you are the giver of all good things and I ask that you restore Brad's health for your glory. Thank you for your goodness and mercy. In Jesus' Name, Amen!"

Can I join your life group? I don't think the drive from La Grange every Sunday would be so bad! What an amazing group of souls - doing God's work in the most personal way. Their service is the essence of Christianity. God bless you all and here's hoping and praying that this week will bring more healing for you, Brad, and peace, strength and serenity for all of you!
Much, much love. Bobbie Brodsgaard

Brad and Jenny.. continue prayers from Pearland, TX. I know God hears our prayers. By the way, Brad... I remember you once told me that as a teacher, I should take those hoilday breaks and enjoy them and not work. i remember you told me that I am not getting paid extra for that. Your words echo in my head and I did not work for the entire Christmas break. I rested, had fun with my family and friends and yes ... one day i stayed in my Pjs all day and it felt great. Thanks for that advise. Life is a gift and your words reminded me to smell the roses. Miss you and praying for you. My whole family lifts you up in our family prayers each day. God bless. ~~ Jennifer Cunningham
