Breakfast with Santa

Southeast hosted their annual "Breakfast with Santa" again this year on Saturday, December the 5th. We had pancakes & juice and a chance to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas. Kaelyn wasn't too excited about the idea of sitting in Santa's lap this year. She was ok to be close...just not too close.

Photo Session

Uncle Matt & Reecie bought this outfit for Kaelyn for Christmas. One evening Kaelyn decided to go back into her room and put it on...then she came into my office and said, "take a picture of me!" She then proceeded to pose in about 30 different ways so that I could snap pictures of her. Some of them turned out really cute.

Zeke Loses A Tooth!

I certainly don't know how it is possible that I could be old enough to be the mother of a child with missing teeth....but here we are. Lisa, Bryan and the kids came over for dinner two weeks ago. While they were here Zeke was demonstrating how loose his front tooth had become. Lisa told him that if he wanted, she would pull it out (Ewww....I don't have a weak stomach for much but ripping Zeke's tooth out just sounded super-gross!) Lisa and I cringed as she twisted the tooth...fully expecting for Zeke to go nuts once she got it out. But, to our surprise...he didn't cry at all...he was so excited!! :)

Gifts from Merla

Merla was so sweet to bring the kids some fun clothes for Christmas. She brought several cute Christmas shirts and sweaters for Zeke along with a gorgeous Christmas dress & Aggie outfit for Kaelyn. Merla, the avid t.u. fan said it was difficult to purchase something in maroon but she did it anyway. :) I know Brad would be proud of her.

Ice Skating at Discovery Green

For Lisa's birthday we met the Hanna's out at Houston's Discovery Green park to go ice skating. After about 15 minutes of skating the heaven's opened up on us and it poured for the next several hours. Needless to say, it cut into our ice skating fun. However, we skated long enough to see that Zeke loves ice skating and Kaelyn....well....no so much. She took one slip onto her hynee and she was done. :)

A Little Retraining.....

I'm not sure why Kaelyn has reverted back to square 1 with potty training. I personally have never heard of a child who was fully potty trained for over 3 months, just up and one day decide to have accidents all day long. Maybe it is for attention? Maybe she thinks it is now too much trouble to get up and go to the bathroom when the floor works just as well? Maybe she is distracted? Whatever the reason....it doesn't really matter...I have completely given up on pushing the idea until she is 3 (ok, so that's only a few weeks away)...maybe there will be something majical about turning 3 and she will suddenly want to go back to underwear and pottys. Well...I am hoping! :)

A couple of weekends ago the kids went to visit family in Kerrville. MeMe told Kaelyn she realized that K's diaper was wet. Kaelyn then told MeMe that she hadn't pee peed in her diaper...Dan did.

I noticed that Kaelyn's pull up was wet this afternoon. When I told her about my discovery she informed me that the pull up was not wet from pee pee it was wet from rain drops. Uh huh.... Very creative.
