More Update

Lisa again. Praise God!!! Brad has had a much better day today--sat up in his chair for a while, participated in some quiet games, and didn't require the heavy meds. Thank God for answered prayers! We are waiting with hopeful hearts that he will continue to improve. I have spoken with Jenny regarding the many people who are anxious to call, visit, or help--and the entire family is soooo grateful for all of you--what an awesome thing to have so many loving friends!! However, they do request not a lot of phone calls to specifically speak with Brad-he has a hard time keeping a conversation due to the breathing. While we know that there are many of you who would like to visit, we ask for limited visits at this time due to Brad's need to rest. What they do ask for is words of encouragement for Brad via either his email or this blog--speak directly to him, whethor it's fighin' words or a prayer--he would thrive from that. Thank you again for all of your loving care and concern--words can not express how grateful this family is for such a show of love towards Brad and Jenny.

Brad,

You have touched so many people in this life, and I perceive that won't stop anytime soon. I have close college friends who know you, Jenny, and your parents. I'm in awe at how many people are praying for you to fight and win this battle, so retaliate with all the determination you can muster.

With God on his side, David went to battle with Goliath. And with one stone he beat him. A boy beat a giant. So I have continued hope that the day will come for you where you will be left on that battlefield with a giant laying in front of you. Because Jenny is definitely that solid, spirited, and courageous rock by your side. Together with God you can battle this cancer inside of you.

With all my love,
Robin and Johnsons at Lakewood

Brad, Jenny, and Family,

This is my first post (ever on any site). Karen & I want you to know just how much we love all of you and that there is not one single day that we do not lift your names before the Father. Words are words but prayers mean everthing to our Lord. We will continue to ask for healing.

We are at a loss for great words of comfort yet are reminded of David and Sandra and how they always knew just what to say and even what not to say. They were such a huge support to us during a great storm in our life ... more than one storm I might add. We will continue to speak to the Father for all of you and we do know that He hears all our prayers and He cares more than we can understand. We know He is with you during this great fight and will give you strength and comfort.
Love ... Sonny & Karen

Dear Brad,
I have left Jenny a few comments before although you neither one know me personally. Our faith has brought us together as family and I have followed your awesome earthly battle through this blog. Trey and Lacie Pitchford told us of you and we have been praying for you and your precious family. You are certainly the most courageous guy that I have known! I know you are proud of your family too. The way they have all stepped up to help you. You are indeed blessed to have so many people love you and also to know that so many are praying for your healing and peace. You just keep it up. Our Lord has the answers. It's a good thing too since we have so many questions.

Brad here is an Episcopal prayer for you. Brad and Jenny you have touched my life so deeply with your faith and abiding love.

Praying without waiver.

O Father of mercies and god of all comfort, our help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant Brad for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; and give him patience under his affliction. In thy good time, restore him to health, and enable him to lead the residue of his life in thy fear, and to thy glory; through Christ our Lord. Amen
