Well, we didn't stay up until midnight, but we did go outside at 8:00 to put on our party hats and take pictures! Thanks to the Campbells and the McAdams who dropped off dinner and a New Year's celebration box, we had all the supplies we needed to ring in the New Year (just a few hours early). The kids had a great time with the glow sticks and the confetti poppers....it was great.
Brad had an even better day today. He slept very well last night, managed to take very little medication through the day, and seemed to have an easier time breathing. I know that he will be even more excited when he can breathe without help from the oxygen machine, so we are continuing to pray for that. We are so thankful for this precious time together and we cannot wait to have even better days to come.

Wow... look at that party... looks like you guys had a great time being surrounded by the ones that you love... I am so thankful for your blog and that I get to watch your daily activites together as a family. Happy New Year from Singapore!
Happy New Years to you, Jenny! It's been said a million times in blog comments and I'll say it again tonight, you are such an inspiration and you make me want to be a better person, woman and wife. And Brad? Don't even get me started. What a champion! How many people are walking closer walks with God tonight because of the incredible faith and joy that you two have demonstrated? I know that I am and I am praying tonight for all of you. God is so good and he is hearing our pleas!

Happy New Year! Praying blessing upon blessing in 2009. Zeke's party looked fun - what a cutie. Someday he's going to love that picture of himself with the baby bjorn strapped on! And, you better hide all the sharpies at your house now that you have a tattoo artist around!
Happy, happy New Year!! These pictures made me smile and hearing about such a good day for Brad had me uttering, "Praise, God!" Continuing in prayer for another good day today, and that Brad's breathing gets easier and easier. The Wims/Crotts/Hanna families are downright awesome!! Love you much!
Happy New Year! I am praying for day after day of strength and improvement and joy. Love you guys!
Happy New Year! Dear Lord, we thank you for another good day and easier breathing. I pray that Brad's lungs will better exchange the O2 so he will be able to breathe without the O2 support. Thank you for the good days you have given the Wims, and thank you for the days you will give them in the future. I pray for happy and healthy days in the Wims household. Please continue to work diligently on Brad's body. Please let his mind and spirit know you are with him and his family every second of the day and night. Thank you for Jenny and her postings so that we know how best to pray for them. In Jesus name I pray - Amen
