Another fun picture

Lisa here. Jenny asked me to put this picture on the blog of the cousins and Matt doing a pyramid. You may ask "why in the world?" are they doing that? A legitimate question! When we were in the Aggies for Christ, one of the fun things we did on trips to area churches was a skit show. There was a comical portion, followed by a more serious, devotional-type portion. In the funny skits, was one called "Beaver College", which required the actors to make a pyramid at the end. Brad requested this one on Sunday, and dutifully, everyone complied--except me of course!!! I would like to say everyone was concerned about my safety being pregnant and all, but we all know it was just the fact that no one wanted to hold the heavy pregnant woman! Today seems to be a good day so far. Brad had a good night--slept about 11 hours--he hasn't done that in literally, 2 years, or so it seems. He has not had much at all of the heavy meds, except for after the coughing spells. He continues to have the courageous faith that we all admire him for, and Jenny as well. Thank you for your continued petitions to God!

Brad and family,
I continue to keep you all in my prayers, as do many of your friends from Channelview. As we all know, only God can help us through these difficult times. Keep your strength and faith strong!

I'd forgotten about Beaver College! The skit I always remember is the one where someone falls down and the other 2 or 3 people in the skit laugh and point. I remember Brad being the laugher/pointer. I always thought that was a really funny skit. Of course, I'm a moron who thinks it's really funny when people fall down.

We continue to petition God on your behalf...

o.k...this is the strangest thing. I've been thinging of Beaver College non-stop the past 2 days. I was looking through some pics and found one that included Brad, Mike, Todd, Jonathan B.,John H., and Stephen G. It's hilarious. Brad's the tough guy and Mike's the nerd (go figure). It's really funny. I'll have to scan it and post it.

Brad always played the big, tough guy overseas since he was about a foot taller than everyone there. :)

Quite funny that you guys recreated the pyramid! Thanks for the laugh. Way to go, Jenny, for getting on top. Good job, Lisa, for avoiding it all together. :)

I love Beaver College, but it has been too long! The only player I can remember is, "I'm Hank, and I'm a tank." I think that was always Collin W.'s line at camp. This is your official plea for Beaver College video! :)

Praying for uninterrupted nights of sleep and a pain-free days in the new year for you, Brad!

I love that you're all keeping him laughing! (And, I'm jealous of the 11 hours of sleep - that just doesn't happen at our house.)

May God continue to renew your sprits and keep your hearts light.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving Brad some rest so he will be better equiped to fight the cancer. Please give him more calmness and easy breathing so he can better hear you and feel your healing hands. Please continue to surround every part of his body, every cell in his body in your loving arms. I ask that you will show Brad and Jenny that you are working in and through them. I plead to you to take away the harmful cells and replace them with new ones that will help fight this. We love you and praise you for his restful night and blessed day with family. - Amen
