A Day In The Life of Kaelyn Denise

Zeke was sick a few weeks back and while I was tending to him, Kaelyn was left to her own devices. These are a few of the things that she did to entertain herself while I was distracted with her brother.

#1 Used the barstool to climb into my kitchen sink. Then removed her "dirty" diaper and proceeded to clean herself off with the kitchen sprayer...along with most of the kitchen (she did this twice)
#2 Used the barstool along with climbing the shelves to help herself to a snack
#3 Found a beautiful shade of bronze 607 and decided to cover herself from head to toe in it....along with my floor, walls, cabinets, fridge, & shelves.
#4 Removed multiple pages out of the spiral binding of a book that I loved.

It was a that point as I was still cleaning up after the first "creative entertainment attempts" that I decided to put her in her room and shut the door. (She hasn't yet quite figured out how to open that...it will only be a matter of time). As I was scrubbing foundation from the grout on my floor, I could hear her crying from her room. After about 5 minutes the crying stopped. I walked to her room and put my ear to the door...nothing. I opened the door to see that Kaelyn had climbed into her crib & had put herself to sleep. I thought this was a wise choice on her part. I believe it helped her live through the day. :)

This face says it all...it has TROUBLE written ALL over IT!

Oh my gosh... that girl is CRAZY! I don't know which would have hit me first... tears or laughter! The pictures are hilarious, but I am so sorry you had to clean up such BIG messes!!! I think Nate is going to have the same type of abilities, so we'd better not let those two hang out alone! :)

This is hilarious. All that curiosity will someday be a great asset, but until then.......

hold on for the ride.

Seriously...head to toe!!! I wouldn't of believed it was that bad if you hadn't put the pictures up. Wow! Was that really all in one day? Bless you.

Well, my first thought was that she knew where to put the make up and then I scrolled down. That's too funny. She's too cute! I know you have your hands full, I'm just around the corner!!

When you told us that story a week ago, I had no idea it was THAT bad! Although, she did blend the foundation perfectly! Yikes!

Oh, man - I don't even know what to say. Thankfully you'll look back on it and smile...some day. And tell Kaelyn that I think that color is a little too dark for her.

Wow! I think you have your hands full with this one! I would have been too upset to remember to grab my camera - I love how you are capturing her individuality! That is really funny!

Oh. My. That Kaelyn! Haven't you taught her how to match her foundation shade yet? I'm glad that other mothers are as bad as I am about taking pics when their kids make messes - it is a little challenging to keep a stern look on your face as you snap away! Now when my girls look through their scrapbooks, the "here comes trouble" pages are their favorites!
