Exciting News...

Last week Brady & I, along with several of his friends and family members, took a ski trip to Tahoe, California.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel overlooking the lake.

We spent the first day ice skating and watching the Superbowl.

The second day was spent snowboarding at Heavenly.

The third day we drove to Sierra for more snowboarding.

The fourth day we decided to take a snowmobiling adventure into the mountains.

We stopped at a great scenic overlook to take pictures.

We took a group shot.

Then we took some pictures of Jay (Brady's brother) & Therese (sister-in-law).

Then Therese took some of us while Jay took some "panoramic video footage of the view."

At the end of this photo session, Brady asked me to be his wife (yippee!)

We are getting married (yippee!)

We celebrated that night on a riverboat tour of the lake.

The fifth day we skied at Squaw Valley, the home of the 1960 Winter Olympics.

On the sixth day we rested. Every week-long vacation needs a down-day to recover from all the fun!

Words cannot express how excited I am about what lies ahead for our future. God's provision has proved to be so much greater than I would have ever imagined. Brady is such an amazing man and Chloe is such a precious baby. I cannot wait to share my life with him & our 3 children. I am abundantly blessed.

Amidst the excitement, this is the Acapella songs that keeps running through my mind...

The more I read about Brady, it sounded familiar. Then I noticed something about Randolph AFB and I realized that we prayed for them fervently when Sara had cancer! We live in Cibolo, very close to Randolph, and our whole church prayed for his family. So many times you pray for people and then never really know the blessings God brought them later on. What an awesome answer to a prayer!! Really, to two prayers, because I have been praying that God bring you someone too!! Next time you come to SA to visit him, we would love to have you over and catch up. God bless!

I've followed your blog for a couple years, and then Brady's through your recommendation right after he lost Sara. What a beautiful outcome to such a sorrow-filled time in both of your lives. God is surely in control and blessing you both and your beautiful children. May you always feel the joy of these times and treasure each other. I believe the spouses you have lost surely rejoice that you have found strength and a new love to share for your earthly journey.

I too have followed Brady's story from the time that Sara was greatly ill (Brady served in the military with my best friend's brother). I have prayed for God's direction in their lives and that He would continue to awe His heart through His divine faithfulness. I praise God for you, your story of God's faithfulness and provision and what a testimony you both are. I pray blessings over your marriage and I pray that you two together would continue to tell stories of God's overwhelming faithfulness.

Blessings!

Hi Jenny! You don't know me and I don't know you, but NOW I know of you since Brady's blog post! :) I started following his blog when he lost his wife and I've just kept following it to see where their journey would take them (oh, and maybe because Chloe's also just so dang CUTE!). :) Needless to say, I was SO thrilled to read his post the other day that he had met someone and was now engaged! What WONDERFUL news!!! I'm SO thankful that two Christ-filled people can find such happiness and love again after EACH experiencing unimaginable tragedy. I wish you both the absolute best and hope for wonderful days ahead for you and your merging families!! :)

So happy for you... my heart flutters with excitement and I hear a whisper that is saying "I told you I would take care of her"... how many times have I and many spent on our knees in prayer for you (hint 56 comments from people that love you) and to see God is soooo taking care of you... He loves you and so do I...

Kim said...

Just read the nasty note - ignore that! As a woman who lost her father and watched her mother go through the dating process with a widower I just want to say how happy I am that the two of you have found each other. I know neither of you, but you both seem to be people who move forward with thought and intent. I wish you both all of the happiness and joy in the world! Congratulations!
