A Shared Love of Laundry

My favorite chore is laundry...I absolutely LOVE doing laundry. I love the sorting...I love the challenge to remove stains....I love the awesome smell of detergent and fabric softener....I love removing the clothes from the dryer when the are still hot....I love the whole process...it is GREAT!

My realization today is that I have created a daughter who also shares my laundry obsession. She gets really excited when I pull the clothes out of the dryer and she puts them up to her face and smells them (Admittedly, I like to do the same). Today I watched her pick up piles of clothes as I was finished folding them and carry them throughout the house to put them in their place. I was amazed that she actually knew where most of the clothes were kept. She even knew which drawer to put her brother's underwear. This may be a skill that most 2 year old's possess....but I was impressed!

a)You are nuts!
b)K is a very smart little girl!

Don't think I will ever share your passion for laundry, but if you ever want more to do just let me know!

I'm a friend of the Starr family, and have kept up with your blog for awhile as Lisa would email prayer requests and whatnot.
I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone in your love of doing laundry. I too love love love it! I don't like to iron, but everything else I find very satisfying b/c I can see the task through from dirty to clean. So, you aren't too nuts, or I am as well!

I'm with Allison - you are weird! :) Laundry makes me nuts because by the time I'm done with all the piles, there are dirty clothes in the hamper again. I can never check it off the list! When you have Kae completely trained will you please send her to my house?

I do not like doing laundry and my children think that clothes are for throwing on the floor and spreading throughout the house. K is very smart if she's helping you put it all away, she's a keeper.

Okay, I'd have to side with Allison on this one! That is not normal, Jenny...you might need help! heehee ;) I seldom do laundry. That was one of the first things my extra MK money went towards - a housekeeper to do all the laundry. OH yeah, and changing sheets on the beds. I hate that job, too! I'd say K is a definite keeper, and I bet she works for cheap! :)
