MK Weekend

This past weekend I spent several days doing several Mary Kay parties in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. On Friday night I had the opportunity to do a party with my college friend, Lisa Starr. Lisa and I were friends from the AFC and we also played intermural soccer together. She is such a blast...it was great to see her along with several other AFC girls: Sarah Dyer, Tara McClure, Abbie Schneider & her mom Mary Gooch, & Katie Carter. It was a positive energy, power packed table full of incredible women...we had a great time.

Life Group Cuties

We hosted a "Back to School Bash" for our life group this past Sunday evening. The kids swam, we grilled hambergers and just sat around enjoying each other's company. It was a lot of fun!

Alli's Bachelorette Party

On Friday, September 4th we celebrated Alli's upcoming nuptials by throwing her a bacheloretty party in Austin. The girls went out to the locally famous, Chuy's for dinner and then moved the party to a piano bar later that night. It was fun to have a "reunion" of sorts with several of our college friends while also having the opportunity to meet some of Alli's new Austin friends. It was a great night.

K's New Room

I spent last week transforming the back bedroom into a new room for Kaelyn. I have really been in the mood to clean up and reorganize my house so I moved all the kids toys out of the living area and into their seperate rooms...it is WONDERFUL! And, over the last 4 nights the kids have been sleeping in their seperate rooms and I haven't had to get up in the middle of the night even once!!! HOORAY for seperate space...I really can't remember the last time I slept through the night without one of them waking up. Yay for sleep!

Kaelyn & Baby Macie

Merla got the girls matching outfits this past spring. Lisa & I FINALLY coordinated a picture with them while we were in Kerrville a couple of weeks ago. So cute! Thank you Merla!

Catching Up

Our friends, Scott & Tammie Shelton came from Fort Worth for a visit last month. The first night we took a trip to Kemah for dinner and met up with Carrie & Jason Broussard. We had a great time having dinner at the Aquarium and then letting the kids play games, run through the sprinklers, and ride a couple rides after. We even had ice cream...yum!

Kaelyn Strikes Again

For such a smart child...I really wonder about this one from time to time. I walked into the bathroom last week to find Kaelyn taste-testing the variety of diaper creams that were on her changing table.

The first picture I took as she was telling me, "I don't like it Momma...tastes yucky" No kidding. Big surprise there. Does anyone know if diaper cream is non-toxic?

I must also add that in the past month Kaelyn has been found squirting foot cream antibiotic from a needle-less suringe into her mouth and she has been caught squeezing neosporin on her toothbrush. GROSS!!!
